You will need:
Phillips screwdriver
Four (4) non-rechargeable AA batteries
Directions:
1. Using a Philips screwdriver, remove the black battery cover on the interior side of the lock by rotating the screwdriver in a counterclockwise motion. Note: The screw is attached to the battery cover by a locking mechanism and will not fall free even after loosening.
2. Remove the battery cover by sliding it up and away from the interior assembly.
3. Remove old batteries. Note: Do not mix old batteries with new batteries, as this may damage the lock.
4. Insert four (4) non-rechargeable AA batteries into the battery slots ensuring the polarity of the batteries match the +/- in the battery compartment. The lock will emit a tone that ascends then descends (YRD216) or it will emit four ascending beeps.
5. Replace the battery cover and use the Philips screwdriver in a clockwise motion to tighten the screw and secure the cover.
