This article shows how to create and delete Resident PIN/fob/mobile credentials in an Enterprise access control system. Note: This is for systems that are not tied to PointCentral unit automation w/ PMS integration, so manual code creation is needed (or bulk upload of codes)
1) Login to alarm.com and click "User Access". Note: Stay at the group level (with two houses in the "Locations" in the left menu), not the individual system level.
2) Click "Users" along the top menu
3) Click "Add User" in the top right corner
4) Enter the resident first and last name then click "Create"
5) Click "Add Credential" then select PIN, then "Assign Pin". Then Generate pin number or enter one manually. Note: We recommend 6-digit PIN codes because these will synchronize with unit smart locks if those are added in the future.
6) The click on "Manage Access", "check" the appropriate access control plan you want for this resident, then click "Save". Note: it takes about 3-5mins for access plans to update with new resident codes.
7) To delete a resident, from the main User Access menu click on the "..." to the right of the user you want to delete, then click "delete". It will prompt you to confirm deletion. Note: It takes about 3-5mins for user pin codes to be deleted from the system.
