Long-term rental property managers with an integrated property management system (PMS) now have more flexibility to manually process resident move-ins. In the PointCentral User Site, they can view a list of incoming residents in a specific date range and select to process residents for move-in despite their status in the PMS platform.

Features

  • Process resident move-ins on demand; (e.g., residents whose status in the PMS is not up-to-date, or situations where residents cannot wait to be processed by the hourly automated PMS sync).
  • View a list of upcoming move-ins within a selected time range (i.e., day, month, year) and select residents to process, as needed.
  • PointCentral will automatically update the status of the appropriate unit from Vacant to Occupied and will send a welcome email with a smart key (PIN code) & login to the resident.

Frequently asked questions

Is a resident's email address required for a move-in?

Yes. Residents must have an email address in order to appear in the list of pending move-ins. This is because residents are sent a Welcome Email, and app logins require an email address for authentication.

Does the resident's status in the PMS affect whether or not they appear in the list of pending move-ins?

Even if a resident has a move-in date within the given range and an email address, only residents with certain statuses will appear in the list of pending move-ins:
