This article shows how to setup User Codes at the Enterprise Level for MDU systems that also have Access Control Doors. This is primarily for larger buildings with many residents and electric strikes on common building doors. This presumes you already have the Access Control system added to your Group. Contact us if you do not. Here is a video showing how to do this if preferred: https://youtu.be/gQvNuurdChM
1. Login to https://secure.pointcentral.com/loginpage.aspx and ensure you are at the Group level for Occupied Units (note the Two Houses side by side - this indicates Group, vs the Individual unit below it)
2. Click on "Users" along left, then "Add User" on the top
3. Enter First and Last name of the new User. Then choose "Resident" login type from the drop down. If not a Resident, you can select other roles. note that you should edit the Enterprise login template if you'd like them to be able to create Guest codes. Article HERE on how to do that. The click "Create"
4. You can choose to send email to user directly with Pin Code by selecting "+ EMAIL ADDRESS" and entering the Resident's email - or uncheck "Send Welcome Email" box if you'd rather provide the code directly.
5. You can then select "At all times" or "Limited Access Times" to only have the code active during certain days / time windows, or "Temporary Access" to have the code expire on a certain day/time. You'll likely use "All Times" for Residents, and "Limited Access" for employees and contractors to make sure their codes only work during certain hours (like business hours).
6. Choose "Set By Location" and make sure you are in the Occupied Group. Choose the system and decide to grant All Access or By Device. In example below, we are giving this resident a User code for the Maintenance Office tied to Unit 102. DO NOT CLICK SAVE YET. Move to next step.
7. From the Group Drop Down Menu, select the Access Control Group then choose the Access plan you'd like the Resident or User to have access to. In the example below, we are giving the User "Resident" access, which in this case is 24/7 access to all building doors. Note that you have to create the Access plans in advance. You can do that HERE.
8. Select the proper Access Plan for the Resident. In this case, they get the All Access plan.
9. Now you will see the User and User Code. You can verify that the code is loaded into the Lock and the Access control doors by going to "Set by Location" at the bottom, then selecting the Group, and checking both the Access Control and the Occupied group to make sure the right Access plan and Lock(s) are selected.

Locks take about 5-10mins to synchronize the new codes. Building Access doors take ~5mins.
