This article shows a resident how to setup a Guest code for their unit.

1. Login to PointCentral.com (or go to the PointCentral App) and go to "Users". This assume your landlord has setup a login for you and you have set it up.

 

2. Click "Add User"

 

3. Enter User First + Last Name. Make sure "Guest" is selected. Choose time window you want the code to be active. Then click on the "Lock Access" icon and select the door you want them to have access to (note the Check mark). Then click "Save". 

 

4. If you want to have the code automatically sent to the Guest, click "Add" on the contact information section and select "Email Address" then add the Guest email. Then make sure the "Automatically email PIN upon assignment" is Checked. When you click "Save" the system will automatically send out the code, login window, and lock instructions via email to the address you listed.

 

5. This is the email that the Guest will receive. It contains the address, Pin code, and instructions for how to operate the Lock. 

 

6. If you'd rather tell or text the Guest the code, go back into "Users" section and click "show user codes" at the top. You can then view the code that was created. Note that codes take at least 15mins to get loaded into a lock. If you want to delete the code, click on the "trash can" icon for that user.
