This article explains how to get a Liftmaster MyQ wifi garage opener connected to the ePropertyCare system.

Part 1: Get LiftMaster MyQ connected to Wi-Fi:
 
  1. Open the myQ app and log in or create an account.

  2. Access Device Settings:

    • If your app has a Gear Icon in the top right corner, tap the Gear Icon.
    • If your app shows your Initials in the top left corner, tap your Initials
  3. Tap on Devices and Add a new device.
  4. Tap Garage Door Opener.
  5. Tap Ceiling Installed on the Device Setup screen. 
  6. Review and check the boxes on the What You Need screen, then tap, I'm Ready.
  7. Choose the type of Wall Control that looks like your product and follow the in-app instructions to activate Wi-Fi learn mode. You may need a stool or ladder to get up to the back of the garage opener.

8. In the app, tap Next.

9. Tap Yes when you hear a beep.

10. Tap the device that begins with myQ-XXX on the Discovered screen.

  • If you receive a Bluetooth pairing request, tap on pair
  • If you don't receive a Bluetooth pairing request:
    • Exit the myQ app and go to your phone's Wi-Fi settings.

    • Connect to the network that starts with myQ-XXX.

    • Return to the myQ app and tap Next.

12. Select your home Wi-Fi network from the list and enter your network password.

13. Tap Next to connect the opener. 

14. Name your garage door opener and tap Next.

15. Tap Finish to see your new device listed in the app.

 

Part 2: Delete garage from the Liftmaster App 
1. Once opener is connected to WIFI, you'll need to DELETE it from the Liftmaster app so it can be added to PointCentral.
 
2. Once logged in, locate the My Places & Devices section on the dashboard page and click on the settings icon in the upper right corner.
 
3. You will be taken to a Manage Places page where you will select the place you'd like to remove the MyQ device from.
 
4. You will be taken to a Manage devices page where you can delete any of the connected MyQ devices.
 
5. Click on the trash can icon next to the device to remove that device from the account.\
 
6. To confirm the device has been deleted, navigate back to the My Places & Devices page. The only option you should see is to add a new device.
 
Part 3: Capture send serial # and send to ePropertyCare
1. With garage successfully on WIFI, capture the 10-digit serial number from the back of the garage opener. In the picture below, it is 0B00 6AD 6D6.

2. Send this along with the address / garage number to ePropertyCare support (support@epropertycare.com)and we'll be able to add it through our backend.
 
Part 4: Backend adding for Internal EPC team
1. Upgrade service plan to include "liftmaster integration" add-on
2. Go to the Equipment list, select "liftmaster" next to Zwave devices
3. Click "Add gateway"
4. Enter serial # provided. 
5. It should show the gateway and opener if successful. Example below.
